Hi there! I’m Nicole, the one woman show behind lillyella. I spend my days livin’ the dream (and working my butt off) on a small farm in southern Colorado.
I am trained as a graphic designer and photographer and spent 11 years working in the industry before ‘quitting my day job’ in 2008 to pursue my own graphic design business and start my jewelry shop, lillyella metal works.
After recently scaling back my larger design clients, I now focus on working with other artists and small businesses. This allowed me the opportunity to pursue my love of sewing and launch lillyella stitchery where you will find unique and original sewing patterns, as well as a few handmade soft goods.
In addition to working with metal, fabric and dirt, I love cross stitch, canning, old trucks, small farm animals, big dogs, the color yellow, kaleidoscopes, rocking chairs, fireworks and all things related to cooking, baking and eating.

You have a cute wonderful blog. I got my Paperie FG and hide it because I loved it so much. I was waiting for the perfect thing to do with it. What a great idea to give to myself…. I gift everything I make. And to see this wonderful fabric every time I sat down at my sewing machine. Thanks so much.

Hi Nicole–I purchased “Take Wing Paper Piecing Pattern” on Blueprint on 4-10-20 for $7.00 on my credit card. I have been unable to download the pattern and have not received a hard copy in the mail despite the charge going thru on my credit card. Help!! Margaret Metcalf

I purchased the butterfly effect mini kit including fabric, pattern and acrylic templates, this was a while ago, just now getting around to starting. I Rev do 2 acrylic templates for pieces B,C,DE,D,E,H and I with 1/4” seam allowance. No templates for remaining pieces???? How might we resolve , please??
